No. 38 - Becoming
I crawled upon my belly
Following the branched trees
Swallowing what life humbly
Gave for me to eat
Till suddenly a stillness
Bore into my soul
A quietness that went against
All plans that were my own
But a deeper call resounded
A nature, some would glean
Bid me obey
And there to stay
So wrapped in self
Enclosed
I became
