No. 30 - For You

Washed in the water of deep breaths

And brightness

Shining down in rays of light

And wind in flight

Coming and going

To and fro

Unconcerned

With the unknown

And so I find myself in the front row

Of nature’s show

And tell.

After a time, she turns and asks,

Do you have anything to share with the class?

Shyly, I nod

Walking along

And sing out a song

Under my breath to the birds.

A little louder, my love

She says, as I shrug.

Ah yes,

Taking courage is best.

Though I often take less

Than desired,

Her prodding inspires

A double helping.

So I soften my gait

And speak into fate

Words that are true

All to a tune…

May I sing it for you?
