No. 42 - Re-baptized

Stay right there–

Don’t move an inch.

Let me capture in time

This moment of bliss

And of sorrow

So happily intertwined

With a smile on your face

Beneath that blue eclectic sky.

For the sun came out

Round about

A spattering of rain,

So perhaps it will be the same

When you look back someday:

Hands full of dust

And comforting cries;

Heart stained by rust

Of simple goodbyes

And undone lies, here

Re-baptized

To find a life once left behind.

Yes, you were always on the road

And still

On the way home.
