No. 21 - Unworthy
Sunlight filters through
Holding still among leaves that move
And sway with whispers on the wind
Yet never carried off and away
Deeply rooted they near us stay
‘Round a table garnished
With half a bar of dark chocolate
And two mugs of tea
My heart here says
What else could we need?
Yet—with song in hand
Melodies lighten the air with truth
Transfixed by the hope that brought me to you
For if time could give us such a gift
Undeserving
What will eternity grant us
Through mercy
